Fresno Family Counseling Center

Fresno Family Counseling Center "Fresno Family"

The Fresno Family Counseling Center (FFCC) provides affordable, high-quality counseling services to residents of Fresno County and the surrounding area.

Most of us have been touched in some way by the effects of life stressors. FFCC is in a unique position to address the emotional well-being of those most vulnerable in our society while serving as a model of how universities can engage with the community in a positive and meaningful way.

FFCC plays a critical role in ensuring that those who would otherwise go un-served by an overburdened mental health care system receive competent therapeutic care.

A University Approach

The Fresno Family Counseling Center provides a highly structured, intensely supervised training program for Fresno State's Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling program. FFCC is both a counseling center and training facility and has been in operation since 1985. FFCC partially fulfills the requirements for the degree program, licensure requirements for the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and the program’s national accrediting body, Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP). FFCC advances the university’s goal of collaborating with the region in activities beneficial both to the community and the university.
