Maira M. Hernandez is a blingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been
a lecturer for the Department of Counselor Education and Rehabilitation since 2014.
She currently is the Clinical Director of Fresno Family Counseling Center (FFCC) which
trains graduate students in the Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling program at
Fresno State while also providing low-cost mental health counseling services to families
and individuals in Fresno County and the surrounding areas. She also trains and supervises
MFCC trainees for in-person and Telehealth counseling services, crisis issues, law
and ethics, and bilngual services. She partners with various school districts, social
service, and governmental agencies to address mental health accessibility to various
populations. She is passionate about improving parent-child interactions and has presented
at the following conferences:
