“Fresno Family” offers a variety of workshops tailored to our community’s needs for groups of parents, caregivers, teachers and school administrators, and community members. Your group can learn from a variety of topics in both English and Spanish.

Team Building Workshop- The “Fresno Family” Approach

Summary: This workshop will help to provide techniques to increase morale, work through periods of stress, build effective communication, reduce tension, building a respectful environment and much more! This workshop can also be tailored to the specific needs of your team and workplace environment.

Parenting

Our parenting workshops can be tailored to provide parents useful techniques to address challenging behaviors between them and their children. Parents can gain awareness on their own childhood upbringing and/or present circumstances leading to parent-child conflict. Parents will be offered a unique view in addressing conflict coming from the child’s perspective. One of the main goals in any of our parenting workshops is to help the parent increase positive parent-child interactions through the tools presented.

Parenting topics can include:

• parenting through the lifespan
• becoming a nurturing parent
• building trusting relationships
• communication tools
• working through challenging behaviors
• parenting through difficult times
• mental health symptoms to look for in my child
• … much more!

Co-Parenting

This workshop will provide separated or divorced parents the impact negative co-parenting relationships have on their children. The goal is to view co-parenting as a life long partnership where conflict can be resolved, tension can be addressed, and your child can be provided the trust and security of two loving households.

Anger Management

Summary: This workshop can be tailored to your group’s needs. Topics include identifying anger triggers, anger myths, coping skills and techniques to reduce anger outbursts, recognizing a mental health concern, and much more.

Suicide and Self-Harm Awareness

Summary: This workshop will help to provide awareness on symptoms, risk factors, and life stressors that may lead to suicide and/or self-harming behaviors in childhood, adolescence, and/or adulthood.
