Our Youth STEAM Academy is typically offered for elementary grade students across
five class sessions. The course themes vary per program, but are usually offered either
on Saturdays or during a school break/intersession. Parents and families can register
their students directly through our office.

Use this section to enroll in the Summer 2025 Little STEAMers Program held at Fresno State.
This half-day science program is offered to students 4 - 5 years of age and will primarily
focus on introducing students to basic scientific concepts.
Course Offered:
Science4Kids (TK - Kinder):Your future scientists will dive right into the scientific method through engaging,
hands-on activities to learn various types of plant, physical, and environmental sciences.
We are now accepting registrations for the Summer 2025 Youth S.T.E.A.M. Academy held at Fresno State.
This summer, the Youth S.T.E.A.M. Academy will be offered to students currently in
1st - 6th grade and the courses will cover science, art, engineering, and robotics!
Courses offered:
Science4Kids (1st - 2nd):
Your future scientists will dive right into the scientific method through microscopy
and hands-on activities to learn various types of plant, physical, and environmental
sciences. Clay Creations (3rd - 4th): Young artists and creatives will have the opportunity to explore the elements of art
and design through clay sculpting, painting and glazing. NASA Engineering (5th - 6th):
Exploring space with NASA themed challenges and robotic components, students will
transform into young engineers by creating projects modeled after real life astronaut
missions.
Our recent Fall Youth STEAM Program was held across 5 Saturdays from 8:30AM - 12:30PM.
The following grade levels and corresponding course were offered:
Junior Programmers (2nd - 3rd): Combining unplugged coding activities with hands-on, block-based coding programs,
students will learn about space exploration, NASA rovers, and robotics!
Science4Kids (4th - 5th): Your future scientists will dive right into the scientific method through microscopy
and hands-on activities to learn various types of plant, physical, and environmental
sciences.
Art Makers Lab: Clay Creations (6th - 8th): Young artists and creatives will have the opportunity to explore the elements of
art and design through clay sculpting, painting and glazing
Our previous Summer Youth STEAM Program was held during the week of July 22nd from
8:30AM - 11:30AM. The following grade levels and corresponding course were offered:
Science4Kids (2nd - 3rd): Our tiny scientists will dive right into the scientific method through microscopy
and hands-on experimentation to learn various types of plant, physical, and environmental
sciences.
LEGO Spike (4th - 5th): Students will train like NASA Engineers using their imagination to create and build
their own designs and applying them to real-life NASA scenarios. Utilizing Lego Spike
Robots and block-based coding, students will expand upon their ideas to create rovers
similar to Perseverance.
Art Makers Lab (6th - 8th): Young artists and creatives will have the opportunity to explore and showcase two
different mediums of art and their varying techniques. Students will learn about the
elements of art and design through clay sculpting, painting and glazing, as well as
the Cricut Design Space app to create their own projects.
What are the required steps to complete the program enrollment process?

I submitted the Registration form, does this mean my student is officially enrolled?
No. The initial form tells us of your interest to enroll your student(s). It is not
an official enrollment, you will be contacted for further details to complete the
enrollment process.
Where can I find the Required Forms?
After completing the online registration form, we will contact you with the required
forms by email from lcui@mail.fresnostate.edu.
I didn't see an option to pay for my student, how will I know when to submit payment?
After you have successfully completed the initial form, you will receive an email
with further instructions on how to make your payment. The email will be sent by lcui@mail.fresnostate.edu, please make sure to check your
spam.
What is the refund policy?
Because program regulations require staffing based on the number of children enrolled,
there is no refund after you completed the payment process. Refunds are not provided
due to illness, vacations, withdrawal, etc.
Can my students bring their own snacks?
Yes! Students are allowed to bring their own snacks and reusable water bottles, so
long as the snacks do not contain nuts and the water bottles can be completely sealed
(no straws).
Am I able to stay with my student during the program?
While we appreciate the support of parents and family, we DO NOT allow visitors to
stay in the classroom with students. This poses potential liability and confidentiality
issues.
Can I take pictures while my student is in class?
Due to the privacy policy, we cannot allow parents/visitors to take pictures of students
while classes are in session. Our staff and tutors take pictures throughout the duration
of the program and these will be shared with parents the week after the academy has
ended.
Will I receive more detailed information before the program starts?
Yes. You will receive more information regarding the program a week in advance.
