Standard 4 Aspect C

The program is committed to and invests in strengthening and improving the education profession and the P-20 education system. Each program’s context (or multiple contexts) provides particular opportunities to engage the field’s shared challenges and to foster and support innovation. Engagement with critical issues is essential and must be contextualized. Sharing results of contextualized engagement and innovation supports the field’s collective effort to address education’s most pressing challenges through improvement and innovation.

Completer Follow Up:
Since its inception, the Fresno State BAP has not had a mechanism for following up with completers. 

However, as shown in Appendix B, under the leadership of the new BAP coordinator, a completer survey was disseminated for the first time in Spring 2021 and asked graduates to provide feedback on their experiences in the BAP and credential programs, as well as their employment status. The survey also explicitly asks program completers to provide an alternate email outside of their Fresno State email to allow for follow up emails. 

Completer Support:
Since its inception, the Fresno State BAP has not had a mechanism for supporting program completers. 

However, as listed in Appendix B, the BAP coordinator does plan to create social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as maintaining a listserv  of program completers that will provide ongoing professional development opportunities, continued involvement with BAP, and employment announcements. This will be accomplished by asking candidates to follow these accounts and/or provide a personal/employment email aside from their Fresno State.
