Collaborative Works/Projects (with public schools, community agencies, etc.)
STEAM Experiences through Community, Research, and Education (SECREd) Garden Demonstration Program is a program designed to facilitate early science learning experiences, science teacher education, interdisciplinary research, community outreach, and food scarcity advocacy. This program is designed with community and elementary school collaboration in Fresno County. As project lead I facilitate networking and school district partnerships to help serve elementary students working toward more equitable outdoor science experiences.

I work with Dr. Heather Horsley, Coordinator of the Multiple Subject Credential Program
and assist with research experiences centered around teacher candidate experiences
in the MS program.
I also volunteer to provide presentations about outdoor learning for the Huggins Child
Development Program in the Kremen School of Education.
I also work with Dr. Myunghwan Shin in the development of effective science methods
courses. We are currently engaged in manuscript writing associated with our research
in these credential courses.
