AAQEP Accreditation 2022
Standard 4 Aspect C
Standard 4: The program is committed to and invests in strengthening and improving the education profession and the P-20 education system. Each program’s context (or multiple contexts) provides particular opportunities to engage the field’s shared challenges and to foster and support innovation. Engagement with critical issues is essential and must be contextualized. Sharing results of contextualized engagement and innovation supports the field’s collective effort to address education’s most pressing challenges through improvement and innovation.
Completer Follow Up (See Appendix B)
Currently, the Reading/Literacy program follows up with completers through a Year+ Completer Pilot Survey. This survey was sent to 56 Reading/Literacy program completers from years 2015-2020
in early May 2021.
Future Plans to Support Completers
Currently, the Reading/Literacy Program does not have a system in place to support
completers. Part of Year+ Completer Pilot survey were two questions asking if the
survey respondents would be interested in participating in either a one-on-one interview
or focus group about their program experiences. The completers who responded yes to
either the interview or focus group will be contacted in Fall 2021. The interviews
and focus groups will inform future efforts to support program completers.
Additionally, in the spring of 2021, a Reading/Literacy Facebook page and Twitter account were established. These two forms of social media can be used in the future to stay in contact with program completers and share information about events and resources program completers may find helpful.
