Community Based Learning Events
LA Museum Trip
Open to Freshman Cohort
A Cohort will visit the Getty and Museum of Tolerance, and experience dinner at the famous Los Angeles Farmer's Market.
Open to program participants Junior Cohort and above, but limited to 20
The cohorts will participate in a Leadership retreat at Asilomar Conference grounds in Pacific Grove, CA.
Annual Scholarship Dinner
Open to all Teaching Fellows scholarship recipients
Located in the University Dining Hall. All Cohorts and their parents/guardians are invited to attend.
White Water Rafting
Open to all Scholarship Teaching Fellows but limited to 25 participants.
Students will enjoy a day on the mighty Kings River located in Twin Pines Camp. This activity will reinforce team building, collaboration and most importantly camaraderie among cohorts.
Travel Study to Washington DC
A cohort will have the opportunity to spend a week in the study of democracy in the United States in the nation's capitol.
Open to all program participants, but limited to 20
Yosemite National Park is in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. It's famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome
