A major purpose of the Academy is to increase interest and involvement of K-12 students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program offers 36 hours of STEM engagement, using NASA-themed, problem-based curriculum. The family involvement component include family nights and take-home projects to promote collaboration between students and family members.
