About Us

The Kremen School of Education and Human Development Research Center is the central source for key resources and guidance for researchers within Kremen and our larger community. Founded in 2024, the Kremen Research Center at Fresno State empowers impactful research by offering training, resources, consultation and other support to ensure effective research methods and practices by current Fresno State students, faculty and recent alumni.

We facilitate innovative, equity-oriented research, scholarship and creative works to advance inquiry and knowledge that promote social justice and improve educational opportunities for our Central Valley communities.

Current Projects

The Research Center fosters collaborative research projects among Kremen’s students and faculty. We provide physical space, guidance, and resources to support research teams. Please contact the center for more information about the projects below or to initiate one of your own.

Enseñamos Research Fellows

(Spring through Fall 2024)

This collaborative project brings together the
Enseñamos Project, the Research Center, and the Center for Creative Community Engagement (C3E) to support three Enseñamos Research Fellows embarking on an eight-month research project. Enseñamos en el Valle Central (“Enseñamos”) is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Initiative focused on expanding pathways for future and current educators into Fresno State’s educator preparation programs. Enseñamos partners with Fresno City and Reedley Community College to advance culturally and linguistically relevant programming, curriculum, and pedagogy while strengthening all three institutions’ ability to expand and enhance their academic offerings, program quality, and institutional stability. Current Graduate Fellows: Maricarmen Figueroa (Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership), Estevan Parra (Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership), Alejandro Bermudez (Student Affairs and College Counseling), and Belen Torres (Student Affairs and College Counseling).
