We are a School of Education and Human Development committed to preparing students
to professionally engage in critical practice, inquiry, and advocacy in teaching,
counseling, and leadership. We collaborate with local, regional, national, and global
communities to address issues of equity and social justice and to advance transformative
educational research and practice.
Vision and Goals
We aim to become an exemplary School of Education and Human Development that creates
culturally sustaining environments for students to promote just and equitable actions
in their communities. We will be a partner of choice that fosters and strengthens
reciprocal and collaborative relationships while honoring cultural, historical, linguistic,
and communal diversity.
The National Anthem
O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the
twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were
so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs
bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that
our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the
home of the brave?
