Dr. Lori Cantu Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at California
State University, Fresno. A proud Central Valley native, she brings more than 30 years of
distinguished experience in public education, including service as a teacher, reading
specialist, site administrator, and district leader, with seven years as superintendent. Her leadership
has been recognized at the state and national level. She earned her Doctorate in K-12
Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California and holds Bachelor's and Master's
degrees from California State University, Fresno. She is a published author whose work reflects
her commitment to culturally responsive school leadership. Her scholarship and practice
focus on developing leaders who create inclusive, high-performing learning ecosystems where
equity, wellness, and student success are deeply connected and intentionally sustained.
