Dr. Christina Luna is currently an Assistant Professor at CSU Fresno, where she is an instructor in the Educational Leadership Program’s Masters and Doctorate Programs. Dr. Luna has been an adjunct professor for the College of Educational Studies at Chapman University in Orange and for the MAT program at the University of Southern California, where she taught in the preservice teacher education programs. Dr. Luna has dual bachelor’s degrees in Child Development and Mexican American Studies, teaching and administrative credentials, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Cal-State University Los Angeles. Dr. Luna earned her doctorate degree at the University of Southern California with a Major in Learning and Instruction and an emphasis on World Languages.

Dr. Luna is a career educator with over thirty years of experience at the University and in PK-12 public schools in Los Angeles, Orange, and Central Valley counties. She has held position ranging from classroom teacher to Superintendent.

Research interests include the education of Children of color and language minority students, with an emphasis on Long Term English Learners and Mexican American schooling. Additional research interests include issues regarding equity and access, higher level administration, science education and The Hmong people and their United States relations.
