Dr. Nichole Walsh, Associate Professor, is dedicated to her program and department in cultivating school leaders for the region. Graduates share that Dr. Walsh nurtured both their intellectual growth and professional confidence to become equity-driven and adaptive leaders for all P-12 students across the Central Valley. She is committed to the Doctoral program in Educational leadership, actively participating in subcommittee work and supporting many students through their dissertations each year as a chair and committee member. She is involved in service to the department, school, and university, serving as chair on respective committees, including this year as chair of the University Academic Policy and Planning Committee. Dr. Walsh also continues to actively engage in innovative research to enrich p12 and higher education settings. Through a willingness to mentor and support colleagues and maintain a student-centered approach, Dr. Walsh contributes to the collaborative and vibrant academic community for which Kremen and Fresno State strive.

Prior to Fresno State, Dr. Walsh’s professional experience included teaching, instructional coaching, activities director responsibilities, and other administrative roles in both Elementary and Secondary contexts across disciplines. She also served as a contributing committee member for curriculum, assessment, behavioral support, English language development, and technology initiatives at the district office level. Additionally, Dr. Walsh mentored new teachers within the district induction program and later served as a formal mentor for new administrators working to clear their credentials through the county office of education.
