Credential Admission Interviews

An interview and approved form are required for admission to the credential program. Please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Pre-Program Field Experience

• Complete at least 20 hours of field experience in a PK through 12th grade level. 

Step 2: Schedule Your Interview

• Schedule an interview for your intended program using the calendar links below.
• Bilingual Authorization Program (BAP) Applicants:
  • Traditional Multiple Subject BAP applicants can schedule one interview with Dr. Hoover (BAP Spanish) or Dr. Xiong-Lor (BAP Hmong).
  • All other BAP applicants need to schedule two interviews--one for their intended program and one for BAP.

Step 3: Submit the Admission Interview Form

• Submit the Admission Interview Form at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled interview.
• Within this form, you will write a Personal Narrative and confirm that you have completed 20 hours of field experience.
• Single Subject applicants will also be required to attach a resume.
• Please be sure to select the correct program, pathway, and faculty interviewer before clicking the Submit button.

• Bilingual Authorization Program (BAP) Applicants: In addition to the form above, you will need to submit the BAP Interview Form at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled BAP interview.

Step 4: Program Application Attachment

• After you have completed your interview and the faculty finishes reviewing your form, you will receive a copy via email. If the form is approved, upload this copy to your Program Application.
• Bilingual Authorization Program (BAP) Applicants: Attach your BAP Interview Form to the "Additional Documents" section of the Program Application.
