The Single Subject Registration Orientation is mandatory for newly admitted teacher candidates and must be attended before candidates can register for their courses.

During the Registration Orientation, candidates are assisted with the following:

• Completing and submitting the Single Subject Program Educational Plan
• Completing and submitting the Teacher Credential Commitment Form
• Registering for courses (see task 4)
• Completing and submitting the Clinical Practice Application (see task 3)

Do not delay in attending an orientation since courses fill up quickly. (If no orientation dates are listed, contact the Single Subject Program Coordinator to schedule a one-on-one orientation.)

• You do not need to register, just use the Zoom link below at the date that works best for you.
• You must use your Fresno State email address to access the Zoom meeting.

The Office of Clinical Practice (OCP) coordinates placements and assigns university coaches. To communicate your placement preferences, please complete the clinical practice application by the priority deadline date (teacher candidates in the Ag program do not need to complete this application). This also helps OCP identify coach hiring needs for the upcoming semester. After submission, your name will be added to the OCP placement sheet.

• Candidates are strictly prohibited from making their own school site placements.
• Residents do not need to submit this application
• Students who do not submit their placement application on time will be placed by availability rather than preference
• Note: Student teaching is a full-time committment with more hours completed in "final" than in "initial."

Check back on October 6th to complete the Clinical Practice Application.

Teacher candidates will follow their advising plan to determine which courses to register for in each semester of their credential program.  Registration course numbers will be provided to teacher candidates during the Mandatory Registration Orientation. All admitted credential candidates are expected to register for their courses upon attending orientation.

Just a quick reminder: while some courses are offered online, the Teacher Education Programs are not fully online nor deemed an online program.

A Tk20 account is approximately $110.00+ sales tax (calculated based on the ZIP code entered for the billing address). This is a one-time purchase that will give you access to your student files for seven years.

The Fall 2026 Induction Orientation is mandatory for teacher candidates enrolling in their first clinical practice course (EHD 155A). This day will include critical information about the Teacher Education Program, the Single Subject Credential Program, clinical practice experiences, and the Fresno Assessment of Student Teachers (FAST). Candidates who have already attended the orientation in a previous semester are not required to attend the orientation again.
