- All Single Subject Credential Candidates must maintain a 3.00 GPA, and earn grades
no lower than a C in all credential courses.
- All Single Subject Credential Candidates are expected to remain in their student
teaching placements until the end of the semester regardless of accumulated clinical
practice hours as "initial and final student teaching classes (EHD 155A and EHD 155B)
are earmarked as regular class attendance courses.
- All Single Subject Credential Candidates must be "cleared" for EHD 155B. EHD 155B
Clearance Application forms will be provided in EHD 154A at one of the seminar classes
- All Single Subject Credential Candidates must be subject matter competent (SMC) before
entering "final" student teaching! -- NO EXCEPTIONS!

EHD 155B Completers ONLY: Individual Development Plan for Induction
This form is presented to your district-assigned Support Coordinator as part of your
Induction Program to clear your preliminary credential. You need to download the form,
complete it with your coach and mentor teacher, then all three of you sign it. You
will then upload the completed form into Tk20. You also keep one copy for your Induction
program, and a third will be required as part of your application for your preliminary
credential.

Single Subject Internship Program
- Fresno State internships are ONLY for candidates who are already enrolled in one of the Kremen School's credential programs (single subject, multiple subject,
or education specialist).
- The University and Subject Matter Area Departments are under no obligation to accept
credential candidates as "university interns" as the Teacher Internship Program (TIP)
is an auxiliary service provided to the teacher credential candidate.
- All Single Subject credential candidates must be "intern eligible" and have met their
U.S. Constitution requirement before a Fresno State internship can be granted.
- Effective Spring 2020: EHD 155A internships will require subject matter department
and Single Subject Program Coordinator approval. This approval must be secured BEFORE a school district contract has been signed.
Note:
- Single Subject internships must meet the requirements of the subject matter department
(check the subject drop down on this page).
- All internships must be approved by BOTH the Subject Matter Adviser and the Single
Subject Coordinator.
- Internship assignments must be in the same subject matter area as their subject matter
competency (i.e., if you have a Math degree or CSETs, but no science you cannot be
an intern in a science classroom), and must be subject matter competent (smc).
- All Single Subject Credential University Interns must maintain a 3.00 GPA, and earn
grades no lower than a C in all single subject credential courses.
- All Single Subject Credential University Interns must be "cleared" for EHD 155B. EHD
155B Clearance Application forms will be provided in EHD 154A at one of the seminars.
- Once accepted to the Teacher Internship Program, there will be a charge of $1600 per
semester in addition to tuition.
- If the employment site is more than 15 miles from the main university campus there
may also be a charge for supervision mileage. These fees help to provide interns with
the additional support hours required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Internships beyond a 45-mile radius from Fresno State University's main campus are
not accepted. No exceptions.

SINGLE SUBJECT TEACHING CREDENTIAL PROGRAM

The Fresno Teacher Residency Program (FTRP) and the Tulare County Office of Education
Residency Program (TRRE) s a joint effort between Fresno Unified School District,
Tulare County Office of Education, and Fresno State. The overarching goal of the residency
program is to improve student achievement in science, technology, art, English, and
math in grades K-12 through an innovative cutting edge teacher preparation program
coupled with outstanding professional support.

The FTRP / TRRE credential program pathways (without the master's) is ONLY available
for students in Math, Science, English, Music, Art, and Industrial Technology.
