Pathway Options
Evening Cohorts
Students enrolled in Fresno State Teaching Credential programs can choose to take their classes in the evening. Fresno State’s Office of Clinical Practice coordinates the placement of teacher candidates at school sites for their fieldwork courses.
Teacher Internship Program
Earn your credential while teaching in your own classroom. The Teacher Internship Program allows "admitted" students who are completing student teaching and are "intern" eligible to work as a contracted teacher under an Internship Credential.
Teacher Residency Programs
(Multiple Subject & Education Specialist)
Residencies offer more intensive preservice preparation for teaching candidates. Residents become members of the school community from day one. Students are given access to district resources and are guaranteed employment upon successful program completion.
Award Winning Preparation
The Kremen School of Education and Human Development was awarded the Christa McAuliffe Award in 2014. This award has long honored exemplary teacher education programs at public colleges and universities that belong to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities that can document the success of their graduates improving P-12 pupil learning outcomes. The Kremen School has demonstrated effectiveness in producing P-12 learning outcomes and has also demonstrated the redesign of credential programs as a result of impactful data.
